After his tragic death on 21st April 2016, due to an accidental overdose of the painkiller fentanyl, the world mourned. Prince’s superstar legacy and talent still fascinates and captivates many, with his first solo exhibition: My Name Is Prince, recently opening at the O2 Arena.

A year and a half after his death, the exhibition provides an intimate look at the worldwide loved star with displays of handwritten song lyrics as well as his show stopping stage wear including his third-eye sunglasses from 2014 and Raspberry Beret cloud suit from 1985. All items have been shipped directly from the stars’ private estate in Minnesota.

The exhibition is currently being presented at the O2 Arena in London, a venue where Prince held his record-breaking 21-night residency at the during his Earth Tour in 2007.

Prince’s siblings, who helped to orchestrate the exhibit released a statement saying “Our family is extremely honored to have this exhibit at The O2, and we know Prince would be as well. He loved to share his work and life with his fans. We know him as a brother who became not only one of the most prolific songwriters of all time, but an entertainer and musician who was unlike any other. It’s only appropriate we share him and these amazing artifacts with the world now that he’s gone.”

My Name Is Prince is on at the O2 until 7th January 2018. To buy tickets visit mynameisprince.co.uk.
