Creative kid Kojey Radical is a 23-year-old, London based poet, musician and mixed media visual artist that exposes his vulnerabilities and invites us into his mind through his work. Born and raised in Hoxton, Kojey studied at the London College of Fashion and is also the creative director of PUSHCRAYONS, a creative arts and media agency, but most notable are his powerful projects that tread the line between music and spoken art.

His latest project, dark and dynamic single ‘After Winter’ features biblical references and themes on race and death to deliver Kojey’s personal story. Like an entry on the page of a diary, Kojey discloses his antidotes and experiences.

This follows up from his 2016 album ’23 Winters,’ a powerful amalgamation of proclamations around love, war, power and revolution and displays the artist’s distinctive vocals set to soulful and electronic production. Including recordings from his father speaking on his life and offering advice, the album is a celebration of love as well as being a journey into darkness, with Kojey speaking on his struggles accepting religion, systematic corruption and his personal life grievances.

Kojey Radical is a spoken word artist that spits passionate stories delivered with the true pain, urgency and intensity that was obviously felt when they were written. It seems that in Kojeys world nothing is too taboo and he allows himself to freely explore all of the emotions that we feel. Continually using his art to explore and express, the modern day poet questions his own place in society, the power of his work and the joint weight and celebration of how people now admire and look up to him.
